GRAHAM MUFFINS 
1 c. flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. whole wheat flour
1 c. milk
2 eggs
1/3 c. melted shortening
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Sift white flour, salt and baking powder. Add sugar mixed with wheat flour. Add milk, eggs and shortening. Stir just to moisten. Add nuts. Bake in greased muffin pan at 425 degrees for 15 minutes. Makes 1 1/2 dozen.
