DUTCH MEAT LOAF | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 lb. bulk pork sausage 1 1/2 c. bread crumbs 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce (1 c.) 2 tbsp. brown sugar 3/4 c. water 1 egg 1 tsp. salt 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 tbsp. vinegar 2 tbsp. prepared mustard In mixing bowl combine ground beef, sausage, bread crumbs, onion, 1/2 cup tomato sauce, egg and salt. Shape into loaf in baking pan. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Drain off excess fat. Combine rest (1/2 cup) of tomato sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, prepared mustard and water. Bake 45 minutes longer. Baste loaf several times during the baking process. |
