CHERRY DUMP CAKE 
1 lb. can tart red cherries
1 egg
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. grated coconut

Drain cherries and add to beaten egg. Mix together flour, sugar, soda, salt, coconut, and add to cherry mixture. It may not be completely moistened but do not add any liquid. Put in 9 inch square pan. Bake 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Cut in squares and serve with whipped topping. Serves 9.
