RIZ BISCUITS 
1 yeast cake
1 c. warm buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. lard

Crumble yeast in warm buttermilk and dissolve it; add soda and the remaining ingredients. Roll out thin, brush with butter; roll over and brush again. Roll thin and cut out with small biscuit cutter. Let rise about 1 hour. Bake at 425 degrees.
