MILK GRAVY 
Plain:

1/4 c. bacon, sausage or vegetable oil
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 3/4 c. milk (whole milk best)
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper

Heat oil on medium heat in iron skillet. Sprinkle flour over oil and *cook until well mixed. Slowly stir milk into hot mixture; cook until blended.

Add salt and pepper. Stir constantly until thickened, about 15 minutes.

Yield: About 2 cups.

Serve with bacon, sausage or fried chicken. Great with biscuits.

With Sausage:

1 lb. pork sausage
1/4 cup flour

Fry 1 pound pork sausage in iron skillet. During cooking process, break up sausage in skillet with spatula. Cook sausage until browned; add flour and *follow above directions.
