ENGLISH NUT TOFFEE 
2 c. granulated sugar
1 1/2 c. white corn syrup
1/3 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. thin cream
3 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. almonds

Put all ingredients except butter and vanilla into saucepan and boil until it forms a firm ball in water. Add vanilla and butter. Pour into buttered pan and mark into squares while warm.
