KATIE'S DANISH PUFF COFFEE CAKE | |
1 c. sifted flour 1/2 c. butter 2 tbsp. water 1/2 c. butter 1 c. water 3 eggs 1 tsp. almond flavoring 1. Mix first three ingredients together as for pastry. Divide. Pat into two long strips on cookie sheet. 2. Bring butter and water to a boil. Remove from heat and add 1 cup flour, stirring until combined. Add singly 3 eggs, stirring in each. Add almond flavoring. Spread on pastry. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour. 3. Frost with simple confectioners' sugar glaze flavored with almond extract. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top. |
