DANISH PUFF 
PASTRY LAYER:

1 c. flour
1 stick butter
2 tbsp. water

CREAM PUFF LAYER:

1 c. water
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla or almond extract
3 eggs
1 c. flour

GLAZE:

Powdered sugar
Hot coffee
Pecans or almonds

For pastry layer, combine flour and butter. Add water, blending as for a pie crust. Divide dough in half and pat into 2 inch rectangular strips, 3 x 12 inches, on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bring butter and water to a rolling boil; remove from heat. Add flour, beating well until mixture forms a smooth ball. Add eggs, one at a time, beating vigorously after each. Mix in flavoring. Spread this mixture evenly over the first layer. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Combine powdered sugar and coffee to form glaze. While pastry is still warm, frost. Sprinkle with nuts.
