TEN BEAN SOUP 
A one-pound bag of each makes 15 packets of 1 1/2 cups.

Black beans, red kidney beans, pinto beans, large white limas, small green limas, speckled limas, Great Northern beans, split peas, navy beans, package of lentils, box of barley.

Cover with water and 1 tablespoon salt; soak overnight. Drain and add 1 1/2 to 2 quarts water, 1/4 picnic ham (fat trimmed) or 3 meaty ham hocks. Boil slowly 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Add: 1 lg. onion, sliced 1 clove garlic, mashed Juice of 1 lemon or 3 tbsp. juice

Simmer 1 hour longer.
