THE BEST OATMEAL COOKIES 
2 cubes butter
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
3/4 c. whole wheat flour
3/4 c. white flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 c. old-fashioned oats
Raisins, optional

Beat butter together with the white sugar and brown sugar, vanilla and eggs until creamy. Add the white and wheat flour, soda and salt (do not over mix) just until blended. Add oats (and raisins if you like).

Place on greased or foiled cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees about 12-15 minutes until crispy. Yum!
