KAHLUA CHILI 
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 onions, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 lb. ground beef
1 (28 oz.) can red kidney beans, semi-drained
1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, semi-drained
1/2 cup green pepper, seeded & chunked
1/2 cup Kahlua
1/4 cup chopped parsley
3 tbsp. chil1 powder
1 tbsp. tomato paste
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. red cayenne pepper
1 tsp. cumin powder
1 tsp. dried marjoram leaves, crushed
1 tsp. dried oregano leaves, crushed

GARNISHES:

1/2 lb. cheddar cheese, grated
2 cups chopped onions
2 cups dairy sour cream

In a large 4-quart pot, heat oil. Add onions and garlic; sauté until transparent. Add meat; brown. Add remaining ingredients (except garnishes); mix well. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer, partially covered for 45 minutes. Can be prepared ahead and reheated. Serve with garnishes.

I found this recipe in a women's magazine some 35 years ago. It was titled "Kickoff Kahlua Chili" in honor of the start of football season. I still have the clipping of the ad. I have never found a chili recipe I liked half as much as this one. Like a stew, it tastes even better the next day. A big dollop of sour cream on top and a thick slice of buttermilk cornbread on the side are all you need!

I agree with previous reviews. My sister found this recipe first and it made for me over 30 years ago. I've been making it ever since as it's my favorite go to recipe for Chili.
