PENNSYLVANIA RED CABBAGE 
2 tbsp. bacon grease
4 c. shredded red cabbage
2 c. cubed apple
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
1-1/4 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
1/2 tsp. caraway seed or bay leaf (optional)

Cook 15 to 25 minutes.
