GRANDMA'S SLOPPY JO'S 
1 or 2 lbs. hamburger
1/2 onion
1 1/2 c. ketchup
3/4 c. oats, old fashioned is best, dry
Buns

Brown hamburger and onions; drain. Add ketchup and oats; stir well. Simmer for at least 5 minutes, watching moisture level (oats absorb a lot of ketchup and hold hamburger together). This recipe has been in family many years when ketchup was made at home. May add water if too dry.
