CHOW MEIN 
1/2 lb. pork, diced
1/2 lb. chicken, diced
1/2 lb. beef, diced
6 tbsp. soy sauce
1 c. water
10 celery stalks, cut in 1/2 inch pieces
1 sm. onion, chopped
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. water
1 (10 oz.) can water chestnuts, sliced
2 1/2 c. bean sprouts
1 c. mushrooms
Salt and pepper to taste
Chow mein noodles or rice

Brown meats in olive oil; brown chicken separately. Add soy sauce and 1 cup water; simmer 2 minutes. Add celery and onions and mushrooms; simmer 1 1/2 hours. Mix cornstarch and water; stir into meat mixture. Add the chicken, chestnuts and bean sprouts. Heat through; season. Serve over chow mein noodles or rice. Serves 6 to 8.
