CHEESY MEAT PIE 
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Use a 9" square baking dish or 9" to 10" deep pie pan.

CRUST:

1 egg
1/2 c. tomato juice
1 1/2 c. soft bread cubes
1 lb. lean ground beef
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. chopped onion

In large bowl, slightly beat egg, add tomato juice and bread cubes. Let set 5 minutes. Stir in ground beef, seasonings and onion. Line bottom and sides of baking dish with meat mixture.

FILLING:

1/4 lb. cheddar or Swiss cheese
1/2 c. finely chopped celery
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. each celery & garlic salt

Cube or grate cheese and spread over meat mixture. Sprinkle celery over cheese. Slightly beat eggs with milk, add seasonings and pour gently over crust.

Optional: Add 1 cup cream style corn to custard mixture.

Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce to 350 degrees and bake 30 minutes more or until custard is done.
