SOURDOUGH BISCUITS 
1 c. Sourdough Starter
2 c. lukewarm water
1/3 c. sugar
1 pkg. dry yeast
5 c. flour (sifted)
1 1/2 tsp. salt

Dissolve yeast in water in a deep pan. Stir, add sugar, salt and starter. Add flour and mix into a batter. Cover with cloth, set in warm place to rise. When dough is doubled in size roll out on floured board until 3/4 inch thick. Cut into biscuits. Put about 1/8 inch bacon grease (or shortening) in baking pan. Dip each biscuit on both sides. Let rise until double in bulk. Bake in hot oven 425 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
