ZUCCHINI SQUASH CASSEROLE 
3-4 zucchini
1/4 lb. crackers
1/2 lb. sharp processed cheddar cheese, sliced
1/2 c. butter, cut into pieces
1 egg
Milk (approximately 2 c.)
Pepper

Cut squash in thin slices. Butter 1 1/2-quart casserole. Start with layer of squash; cover with cheese slices and bits of butter and crumbled crackers. Make 2 or 3 layers, depending on size of casserole.

Beat egg and milk (enough, so when poured on casserole you can see the liquid). Dot with butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
