THREE BEAN SALAD | |
1 (16 oz.) can cut green beans 1 1/2 c. kidney or red beans ( or substitute 1 (16 oz.) can 1 med. sliced mild onion 1 cup cider vinegar 1 tsp. oil (canola or corn) 1 tsp. basil 1/8 tsp. salt 1 (16 oz.) can cut wax beans 1/2 c. diced green bell pepper 1/2 c. water 1 tsp. celery seed 1/4 tsp. black pepper Dash of garlic powder Rinse and drain beans, place in large glass dish. Add thinly sliced onion and green pepper. Place all other ingredients in a large microwave pitcher. Heat in microwave, on high, for two minutes. Stir, pour over beans. Stir mixture together, cover and refrigerate. After a few hours, stir again. This tastes best if it's prepared twenty four hours before serving time. Keeps in the refrigerator for several days. |
