BUTTERSCOTCH PECAN PATTIES 
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. corn syrup
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 c. evaporated milk
4 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. chopped pecans

Place the sugar, syrup, salt and milk in a saucepan and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Boil slowly until it forms a soft ball when tested in cold water. Remove from the stove, add the butter and vanilla and let stand ten minutes. Add the pecans, and beat vigorously until thick and creamy. Drop from a teaspoon onto waxed paper.
