GRAMMIE TILLIE'S PIE CRUST | |
7 1/2 c. flour (preferably pastry flour) 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 3/4 lb. lard 1 1/4 c. ice water Put flour and salt in mixer (5 quart) bowl and mix a little. Add lard and work with dough hook until the consistency of large size peas. Add ice water and mix only until it holds together. Chill. This makes 7 (2-crust) pies. |
