EASY CHERRY DESSERT 
2 cans cherry pie filling
1 white or yellow cake mix
1 stick butter (I use 1/2 stick more)
Chopped nuts

Spread pie filling in glass baking dish (approximately 9 x 13 inches). Sprinkle dry cake mix over cherries. Cover mixture with thin slices of butter. Sprinkle nuts over all. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Good with peach pie filling, too.
