APPLESAUCE-RAISIN BARS | |
1/4 c. reduced-calorie butter 2/3 c. granulated brown sugar substitute 1 egg 1 c. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. apple pie or pumpkin pie spice 1/2 c. raisins 1/4 c. unsweetened applesauce Vegetable cooking spray 1. Cream butter in a medium bowl. Add brown sugar substitute and egg, and beat well. 2. Sift together flour, baking powder and spice; add to creamed mixture, beating well. Stir in raisins and applesauce. 3. Spread mixture in a 13x9x2 inch pan coated with cooking spray and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Let cool. Cut into 24 bars. Yield: 2 dozen bars. |
