HERB BASTED CORNISH HENS 
2 cornish hens (about 1 1/2 lb. each)
Ground pepper, optional
Stuffing, optional
2 pkgs. butter buds
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. dry white wine
2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
2 tsp. tarragon
3 cloves garlic, minced

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Season hens with pepper. You may stuff the hens with dressing if you wish. In a separate bowl, combine remaining ingredients and pour over hens in roaster. Bake for 1 1/2 hours or until tender. Baste occasionally with the sauce.
