ELEANOR'S HOLIDAY SAUSAGE BALLS | |
This is just a variation of the traditional recipe which calls for 3 cups of flour only. You could use 1/2 cup Jiffy and 2 1/2 cups of Bisquick for a less sweeter version, but still different! 1 lb. bulk sausage 16 oz. grated sharp cheddar cheese 2 cups Bisquick baking mix 1 cup Jiffy corn muffin mix Grate all the cheese and let sit at room temperature for about an hour so. It's easier to incorporate into the mixture. Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. The best method is with your hands. It's a messy job, but it is really the only way! Once all is mixed, roll into 1-inch balls and place on baking sheets. Bake at 375°F for 15 minutes. Note: The Jiffy mix gives them a slightly sweeter flavor. Submitted by: Eleanor Lawson |
