GRANDMA BULKLEY'S GERMAN APPLE DUMPLINGS | |
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Make baking powder biscuit recipe. Roll out to 1/2 inch thick. Spread a thin coat of butter on dough. Cover with chopped apples, enough to cover. Next, sprinkle with cinnamon to taste. Roll up and cut into 2-inch slices. Place flat side down in pan. 2 c. sugar 1 c. water Mix and bring to boil. Make a medium syrup. Pour over apple dumplings. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm with cream, ice cream, sour cream or vanilla yogurt, depending on taste. |
