ICE BOX TEA COOKIES 
1 c. butter

2 c. brown sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. salt

1 c. finely chopped nuts

3 1/2 c. flour

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, well beaten. Add flour, soda and salt; mix well. Add nuts. Shape dough in roll, wrap with wax paper. Chill 1-2 hours. Cut into 1/4 inch slices. Place on ungreased cookie sheet pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 7-10 minutes.
