2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. shortening
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour or enough to make stiff dough

Make in roll and place in ice box overnight. Slice thin and bake in 350 degree oven.
