HUSH PUPPIES 
2 1/4 c. Dixie Lily self-rising meal
3 tbsp. Dixie Lily self-rising flour
1 tbsp. finely chopped onion
1 egg
1 c. milk or water

Combine cornmeal, flour, and onion. Add egg, gradually beat in milk or water. Drop from spoon into hot fat where fish was fried. Fry until golden brown, drain on paper towel. Spread with butter and serve hot with fish. About 16 small hush puppies.
