OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 c. Crisco

Combine above with mixer 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla, add at low speed 2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon baking soda. Mix the following by hand:

2 c. instant oatmeal
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. coconut
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped

Mixture will be very stiff. With rounded teaspoon dropped on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes until light golden brown and cool.
