APPLE CRISP 
1 can apple pie filling
2/3 to 3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. oats
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. butter, softened

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease square pan, 8 x 8 x 2 inch. Place apple pie filling in pan. Mix remaining ingredients thoroughly. Sprinkle over apples. Bake 30 minutes. Serve warm and, if desired, with ice cream.

Variation: Substitute 1 can cherry pie filling for apples; use lesser amounts of sugar.
