STRAWBERRY GLACE' PIE 
SHELL:

Makes 1 (9") crust.

1 c. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. + 1 tbsp. shortening or lard

Blend ingredients as you usually would. Bake at 475 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.

6-8 fresh strawberries (about 1 1/2 qts.)
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. water
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened

Mash enough berries to measure 1 cup. Stir together sugar and cornstarch. Gradually stir in water and crushed strawberries. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Boil, stir 1 minute. Cool.

Beat cream cheese until smooth. Spread on bottom of baked pie shell. Fill shell with remaining berries; pour cooked berry mixture over top. Chill at least 3 hours or until set.
