2 c. flour
2 c. white sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. water
1 1/2 sticks butter
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Blend flour, sugar and soda. In sauce pan melt water, butter and cocoa. Bring to a boil and pour over the other; beat. Add 2 eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes in 9 x 13 inch pan.

FROSTING:

1/2 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 box powdered sugar, sifted
5 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix well and pour - spread over cake.
