3/4 c. milk 1 tbsp. Karo syrup 2/3 c. sugar 1/4 stick butter 1 tbsp. vanilla 2 c. pecans, halved or whole Combine milk, Karo syrup and sugar in saucepan over medium flame until it starts to bubble and rise. Add butter and continue cooking. When you are able to drop a little of this mixture in a glass of cool water and it forms a firm ball, it will be done. Remove from fire and add vanilla and pecans. Spoon on waxed paper and let harden. If mixture becomes too thick, return to heat on low fire for a few minutes. |
