6 c. plain flour, sifted
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. shortening
2 c. nuts, chopped
3 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and nuts. Shape into long rolls. Chill the dough. Cut cookies from rolls and bake at 350 degrees until slightly brown.
