1 c. butter
1 c. white sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
8 oz. pkg. dates, chopped
8 oz. pkg. candied cherries & pineapple
3/4 c. white raisins
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
3 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add remaining ingredients in order given. Drop by spoonfuls on greased baking sheet. Bake at 250 to 275 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes.

My mother made these for Christmas and shared them with her family.
