SOUR CREAM CUT OUTS | |
1 c. butter 1 c. sugar 1 c. sour cream 2 whole eggs, beaten 1 tsp. vanilla 3 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda BUTTER CREAM ICING: 1 stick butter 1 tsp. vanilla 2 c. 10X sugar Few drops milk, just enough to cream well Cream butter and sugar. Add sour cream, eggs and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture and blend well. This dough is very sticky, so I roll the dough out onto a floured tea towel. I roll it to about 1/4" thick. Then cut with desired cookie cutters dipped in flour. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. After they have cooled, frost lightly with butter cream icing and decorate with colored sugar. They are a very soft cookie and they will stay that way. |
