GLAZED APPLE CROWN
4 1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 pkg. yeast
1 c. milk
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. butter
1 egg

FILLING:

3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. butter
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, soft
2 c. apple, finely chopped
1/2 c. brown sugar, firm
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

GLAZE:

1 c. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. butter, soft
1 tsp. lemon juice

Combine 2 cups flour with sugar, salt, and yeast. In saucepan, heat milk, water, and butter to 120 degrees. Add warm liquid and egg to dry ingredients with mixer. Blend 2 minutes. Knead remaining flour 5 to 8 minutes. Let rise 1 hour or until doubled.

FILLING: Combine sugar, cheese, butter and cinnamon until smooth. Combine apples, sugar and cinnamon together.

Divide dough in half. Roll into 18 x 8 inches. Spread half cream on dough and half apples. Starting at one side, roll and pinch edges. Repeat with remaining dough. Place both rolls in greased 12 cup fluted pan (10 inch tube pan). Raise until doubled. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes. Glaze while warm. Yields 10 servings.
