SOUR CREAM BURGER | |
1 1/4 lb. ground chuck (20% fat!) 4 tbsp. sour cream 6 tsp. onion, chopped very fine or grated 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. ground pepper 4 English muffins Unsalted butter In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, sour cream, onion, salt and pepper. Mix with a fork, without mashing or compacting the meat! Preheat a skillet over moderate heat. GENTLY form the mixture into 4 patties, and place in the skillet. Cook 3 minutes, turn, cook 3 more minutes for medium rare, or to taste. Serve on toasted and buttered English muffins. Serves 4. |
