3/4 c. Hershey cocoa 1/2 tsp. baking soda 2/3 c. vegetable oil 1/2 c. boiling water (measure accurately) 2 c. sugar 2 eggs 1 1/3 c. unsifted flour 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. salt Stir cocoa and baking soda in mixing bowl. Blend in 1/3 cup vegetable oil. Add boiling water and stir until mixture thickens. Stir in sugar, eggs, and remaining 1/3 cup vegetable oil. Stir until smooth. Add flour, vanilla and salt and blend completely. Pour into lightly greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan or two 8 inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes for 13 x 9 inch pan, 30-32 minutes for 8 inch pan. Cool, frost if desired. |
