1 1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
4 squares Bakers unsweetened chocolate
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
2/3 c. shortening
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla

Mix flour with baking powder and salt. Melt shortening and chocolate over hot water. Beat eggs well; add sugar gradually, beating well. Beat in chocolate. Mix in flour and vanilla. Bake in greased 9"x13" pan at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Top with powdered sugar when hot.
