1 c. raisins
1 c. water
1/2 c. salad oil

Combine raisins and water. Bring to a boil. Add salad oil and cool to lukewarm. 1 egg, beaten

Add to raisin mixture. 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. each soda, cinnamon, ground allspice 1/2 tsp. cloves 1/2 c. walnuts

Stir together dry ingredients; beat into raisin mixture. Stir in nuts. Pour into greased 9x13 pan. Bake 375 degree oven for 20 minutes or until done. When cool, cut in bars. Dust with powdered sugar.
