RAISIN BARS | |
1 box raisins Water 3/4 c. sugar 3 tbsp. flour or cornstarch DOUGH: 1 c. Crisco 2 eggs 1 tsp. baking soda 2 c. brown sugar 3 3/4 c. flour 1 tsp. vanilla Cover raisins with water and cook until soft. Add sugar and flour or cornstarch. Cook until thick. Cream Crisco, sugar and eggs. Add baking soda and vanilla. Add flour gradually. Cover bottom of cookie sheet with wax paper. Press one half of layer of dough completely the size of cookie sheet (lift out). Press the bottom layer of dough in cookie sheet. Cover with filling; then flip top layer of dough over raisins. Bake for 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Delicious. |
