APPLE DUMPLINGS 
1 recipe favorite good pie crust
4 chopped apples
2 or 3 tbsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. sugar

Mix apples, cinnamon and sugar real well. Roll out pie crust, about the size of a saucer. Put a small amount of the apple mixture in the center and pit 2 or 3 pats of butter on top and fold the dough up around the apples. Have a heavy skillet on top of the stove, with about 2 cups water and 1/2 cup sugar and let this start to boil, and drop the apples in the water. Place in a 350 degree oven and bake about 1 hour or until brown and syrupy.
