1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 pkg. chocolate stars

Cream shortening and sugars. Add egg, milk and vanilla. Add dry ingredients. Roll into balls and bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes. Place a star on top of each cookie and bake for another 1 minute.
