1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening, not butter
1/2 c. chunky peanut butter
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Chocolate star candies

Mix all but the candies together and roll in 1 inch balls. Place on greased cookie sheets and bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

Immediately after taking cookies out of the oven, firmly press a chocolate star into each cookie and cool.
