CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
1 3/4 c. sifted all purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 sticks butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. dark brown sugar
1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa
2 tbsp. light cream
1 c. chocolate morsels

Sift together flour and baking soda; set aside. In a large bowl cream the butter with an electric mixer. Add vanilla, sugar, cocoa and beat with a mixer. Then mix the cream at low speed. Gradually add dry ingredients. Remove from the mixer. With a wooden spatula stir in the morsels. Bake 12 to 13 minutes at 350 degrees.

My mom would make these cookies whenever I was bad, or a pest. I would sit on the porch and eat them. I used to love to tease my brother with them because he was allergic to chocolate. I was smart back then because I knew all of my mother's weak spots.
