1 pkg. pound cake mix
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp. cloves
2 1/2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. walnuts, chopped fine (optional)

Grease and flour loaf pan or 9 x 12 inch cake pans as usual. Prepare cake mix and spread 1/3 mix into pan. Sprinkle with 1/3 cinnamon and mix. Spread 1/3 more batter over cinnamon mix. Sprinkle 1/3 more cinnamon mix and top with last of batter.

Using the back of a teaspoon swirl through batter several times. Top with last of cinnamon and bake 45 to 60 minutes at 325 degrees. Let sit for 15 to 20 minutes to cool. Remove from pan to wire rack or serving dish.
