GINGERSNAP COOKIES 
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar (packed)
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. salt
Sugar

Mix thoroughly shortening, brown sugar, egg and molasses. Blend in rest of ingredients. Chill one hour. Bake at 375 degrees. Shape into balls. Roll in sugar. Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake 10- 12 minutes.
