3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. water
2 eggs
12 oz. pkg. (2 c.) Nestle semi-sweet chocolate morsels

Preheat oven to 275°F. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. Combine shortening, sugars, vanilla and water. Beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Add flour mixture; mix well. Stir in 1 package of chocolate morsels. Drop by 1/2 teaspoons onto greased cookie sheets.

Bake at 275°F for 10 to 12 minutes.

Makes 100 (2-inch) cookies.
