SAUSAGE 'N KRAUT 
4 tbsp. shortening
1/4 c. onion, diced
1/4 c. green pepper
3 c. Flannigan's deli fresh kraut
1 c. apples, diced
2 lb. Hillshire Farm sausage or 18 sausage links

Melt shortening in electric skillet or large, heavy saucepan. Add onion and green pepper and saute for 5 minutes. Add kraut and apples; cover and cook over low-medium heat for 25-30 minutes; stir occasionally until apples are tender. Meanwhile, saute sausage until brown and cook links as directed. Top hot kraut mixture with sausage and serve. Makes 6 servings.
